All Enya songs: Complete list for listening and download

Here are all songs released by Enya that are not included in her standard studio albums. This collection spans non-album singles, B-sides, soundtrack contributions, and rare extended plays.

While the vast majority of her catalog appears on her main studio releases, these rare tracks offer a deeper look into her musical career. Most were issued across various physical single releases and compilation sets.

Exclusive B-side tracks such as "Eclipse", "I May Not Awaken", "Morning Glory", and "Isobella" demonstrate Enya's distinct arrangement style outside her primary LPs.

Holiday Releases and Christmas EPs

The Sounds of the Season: The Enya Collection EP was released on 10 October 2006 in partnership with NBC. It was sold exclusively in Target stores across the United States through Rhino Custom Products.

Target Corporation originally approached Enya to record an extended play of seasonal music. The resulting six-track release features four new holiday recordings along with two previously issued tracks.

The new recordings included on the EP are:

"Adeste, Fideles" ("O Come All Ye Faithful" in Latin)
"The Magic of the Night"
"We Wish You a Merry Christmas"
"Christmas Secrets"

The collection also included "Amid the Falling Snow" from Amarantine and "Oíche Chiúin" ("Silent Night" in Gaelic). The latter previously appeared as a B-side on the "Only Time" single.

To promote the release, Enya performed "The Magic of the Night" and "It's in the Rain" live on the Christmas in Rockefeller Center television broadcast on 29 November 2006.

In Canada, Warner Bros. released a condensed four-track version titled Christmas Secrets EP on 28 November 2006. In other international territories, these four holiday tracks were bundled with her sixth studio album under the title Amarantine: Special Christmas Edition on 21 November 2006.

These seasonal sessions were originally intended to build toward a full-length holiday project. That recording concept later evolved into her 2008 winter-themed studio album And Winter Came....

On 6 December 2019, this material was reissued on digital streaming platforms as the expanded Christmas Secrets compilation.

This 12-track digital edition combines the original EP recordings with seasonal tracks from And Winter Came..., including "White Is in the Winter Night" and "Journey of the Angels".

Movie Soundtracks and Alternate Versions

Enya has also written and recorded featured music for major motion pictures. Key soundtrack releases include "May It Be" and "Aníron" for The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, as well as her early work on "The Frog Prince".

Her discography also includes alternate edits and single mixes created for radio airplay. Notable variations include "Book of Days" (English lyrics) and "Storms in Africa Part II".

The original Gaelic version of "Book of Days" appeared on 1991 pressings of Shepherd Moons. It was re-recorded with English lyrics in 1992 for the feature film Far and Away and substituted on subsequent album reissues.

Other unique releases include "Miraculum", a 50th-anniversary track released digitally on Amazon and iTunes, alongside rare promotional versions like "Wild Child (Vocal Up)" and "Someone Said Goodbye (Remix)".

Misattributions and Common Misconceptions

Is this really an Enya song? Numerous ambient and Celtic songs on the internet are mistakenly attributed to Enya.

Popular misattributed tracks include "Harry's Game" by Clannad and "Adiemus" by Karl Jenkins. Neither track features Enya's involvement.

Listeners also frequently assume Enya performed on the soundtrack scores for Gladiator or Titanic. Those film scores were composed by Hans Zimmer and James Horner, respectively.

Furthermore, Enya has never recorded vocal duets or rap collaborations. Popular hip-hop songs like "Ready or Not" by The Fugees and "I Don't Wanna Know" by Mario Winans simply sample her 1987 instrumental track "Boadicea".

Album releases before "Enya", 1987

Touch Travel, 1984

Touch Travel is a rare cassette-only compilation released in 1984 featuring instrumental compositions by various artists.

The release contains two instrumental pieces recorded by Enya while she was still performing under her real name, Eithne Ní Bhraonáin.

The tracks featured on the cassette are:

"An Ghaoth ón Ghrian" (The Solar Wind, 2:04, featuring piano and synthesizer)
"Miss Clare Remembers" (2:02, an early instrumental version)

Both tracks were produced by Nicky Ryan and recorded at Windmill Lane Studios in Dublin in 1983.

Approximately 5,000 cassette copies of this compilation were printed. Enya later re-recorded and expanded "Miss Clare Remembers" for her 1988 breakthrough album Watermark.

The Frog Prince soundtrack, 1985

The commission for The Frog Prince soundtrack was secured through manager and lyricist Roma Ryan.

Film producer David Puttnam was searching for a composer for the romantic comedy film. Roma Ryan sent demo tapes to the British producer, who commissioned Enya after listening to her melodies.

The soundtrack features compositions by the Irish artist alongside pieces by other performers. While Enya composed nine instrumental themes for the movie, film editor Jim Clark noted that she found writing directly to picture challenging.

Arranger Richard Myhill produced and orchestrated her instrumental compositions for the film, along with four jazz standards performed by Jazz Club.

Enya performed lead vocals on two original vocal tracks on the album:

"The Frog Prince" (music by Enya, lyrics by Roma Ryan)
"Dreams" (music by Enya, lyrics by Charlie McGettigan, produced by Nicky Ryan)

The soundtrack album also featured the track "Les Flon-Flons Du Bal" by Édith Piaf.

Released in October 1985 on LP and cassette for Island Visual Arts, the record marked the first commercial release to credit her under the phonetic spelling "Enya".

The soundtrack was reissued on CD format in 1995 by Spectrum Music, followed by a second CD reissue in 1999 under the same label.

In the CD booklet, a short biography summarizes Enya's early career:

"At the age of eighteen, Enya (Eithne Ní Bhraonáin) joined Clannad's group, immediately his family. With them he recorded two albums going on tour in Europe for two years. Later he decided to devote his time to his own music. This album sees its first foray into the world of film music. It is a source of pride for Enya that David Puttnam has chosen his music for this project."
